Develop a tool to 'two-button' a LinkedIn profile into Firefish
Our previous CRM provider built a Chrome extension ('LinkedIn Chrome Clipper') which enabled to you to press two buttons to turn create a profile for a candidate or client from a LinkedIn profile. You would simple go to the relevant LinkedIn profile, click the extension button in the top right of the screen and then, from a drop down, decide whether the contact should be added as a candidate or client contact

Hi all
I’m pleased to announce that the Chrome Extension for LinkedIn is now live in the Chrome Web Store.
Thanks to everyone who’s had a hand in making this happen – it has been quite the journey!
Read more about the extension by checking out the Fishtank articles: Chrome Extension | Firefish
Thanks

If we could be involved with the Beta testing for this feature that would be great.
Many thanks, Rob

Great stuff FF!
What would be the workflow when a candidate applies from a LinkedIn job slot.
This currently appears as an email in outlook and I then add candidate to FF via the little fishie!
Cheers, Ant -

Hi Drew,
It's great news this is in development - do you have a rough idea as to when it's likely to be live?
Are we talking about a matter of weeks or months?
Thanks, Chris

Can you ensure that it also brings the individual's image (photo) with it.
Also, it is important that this option can also work with Clients and not just on the Candidates

This is really needed, most other CRM's already have this. Why are FF so behind?

From our companys point of view, we would want the option of using the photo rather than autmatically uploading. Our sector requires a good 'headshot' of the candidate for compliance purposes. We would want control over that photo and its quality

Completely support the other comments here - majority of our candidates are from LinkedIn and we need a quick option to upload directly into FF....ASAP

Alot of our new candidates and job applications come via LI but is time consuming manually adding to FF. Would be great if we could add in same way as from job boards. To be able to simply download a LI profile from their URL would also be really helpful

The Chrome extension is a great idea! Ideally, it should recognise if the LinkedIn profile is registered with our agency already - it could do this from the public profile's URL. It would save a lot of time checking manually :)

Most other CRMs are now doing this or have it in the pipeline - even Zoho! Please push this up the roadmap priority

We are currently adding new contacts manually from LinkedIn which is time consuming.
Would it be possible if the database could have a link to pull certain information direct from LinkedIn to the Firefish database(a bit like it does when adding a CV). This would save us a lot of time.

Some other CRMs have a chrome extension so when you do a search within LinkedIn (not recruiter), you can see who is already on the database and then with a simple click add new candidates to the database. If you could then also consider for a job from a LinkedIn Search, that would be perfect!

As I use LinkedIn a lot to contact both Clients and Executives, it would be great if these could be imported into FireFish so as to track contact.

Here's an idea that can speed up the adding process:
It would be very helpful if there was a 'Linkedin Extraction' tool on Firefish when adding a "New Person".
Alternatively, this can also be a plugin added to our current Firefish plugin on our Outlook Emails. If a Client or Candidate has a linkedin profile, all we have to do is copy the link to their linkedin profile to the Tool.
Mandatory Fields:
- Link to Linkedin Profile
- First Name
- Last Name
- EmailIf a company they work for is already on Firefish, it will be filled in automatically with their title along with the dates they started/left.
The fields below can be optional:
- Current Employment: Title
- Current Employment: Company
- Remuneration: Temp/Perm Status
- Availability Fields: Notice, Available, AvailabilityOnce the person has been added to firefish, all we have to do is code them up.
This will speed up the process.
What do you think?

Is this idea still in consideration? We spend so much time on linkedin and being able to update people into firefish would be a massive time saver.

Absolutely think this should happen. Some of the more basic CRM's have this ass in available and it is a huge time saver. A chrome plugin seems to be the usual way to include this.
