This would be great a king of Omni Search, ala Google. So you can have one search box, that you could put a candidates name, reference number,a Job, Job number, company or contact name.

Include a generic search field at the top of each page, which includes suggestions of what you're trying to find as you type, so that we can quickly click through to who / what we're trying to get to, without having to load a "search" page. This will reduce the number of clicks and page loads, helping us speed up our searches.

The last comment that this was in progress was in June - any news on this?

Can there be a floating search box or static search box so that no matter what you are on you can search for Candidates/ Clients/ Contacts without having to go back to dashboard to do this? Perhaps this could be incorporated into the menu bar alongside People, Company, Adverts etc.

Instead of having to return to the dashboard or the people tab to search for a candidate it would be really useful to have a search box right at the top of the page (next to the company logo), accessible from any page. When you're checking a number of candidates in one go it would be really helpful!

Hi Terry - you will see i have updated this to in build as it is actually getting worked on at the moment.

In the interim the new person search does actually do this for you.

Please, Please Please can you do this I have been using Firefish for over 2 years and I still forget to tick contact, my fault I know, but I think this is the most pointless feature ever :-(

Often I pick up a CV from another source (not our own firefish database) - and want to very quickly check to see if I have the candidate already in our fish database. I always have to click back to the home page and select people>search - It'd be great if there was an ever-present search bar at the top of the fish, to quickly search through your candidates & contacts.

When searching for a person it should be irrelevant if they are a contact or a candidate and we should be able to search for them in both at the same time.

I'm finding it really frustrating to have to go back to the dashboard/homepage whenever I need to search for a candidate/client/contact. Also...to have to search in the right tab always catches me out as I'm usually in a rush and end up searching for a client in the candidate search tab!

A small search bar at the side of the screen, above recent searches would be amazing and really make things a lot quicker and slicker!

How about adding the Search box to the CRM - This would certainly speed up searching fro a record of either a client or a candidate.
