Hi Wendy, we'd like to be able to send text messages from the candidate profile as that would be a great function to have. We are often on candidates profile and would like to be able to easily text or call from the profile itself.

I'm not able to post any new ideas so will add to this thread. Could it be possible to integrate in some way with What's app? or similar free texting service?

Fantastic news. Long overdue. We use Textmarketer every day and it will be great to be able to do this straight from Firefish. Texting is so much more responsive than emailing and great for confirming and reminding about interviews especially and to give people a prompt to respond to an email or read info sent.

Texting through firefish absolutely would be advantageous. Most of my job seekers and clients conduct their business through text as a lot of times it is a faster means of communications, it is immediate. I would definitely love to have this as part of the software. It is also good for tracking information, should anyone ever have a query.

HI Alistair - this is next up on the community to start moving in terms of votes now.

So we have a number of things to push out from the community that are currently at test and in beta - once these are out we will start on this.

Have we got an update on this yet? In the care sector we get last minute shifts, its a very quick and efficient way of filing them.

I do agree with *****'s comments, the way candidates engage these days is very different with most responding to an informal text quicker than a formal e-mail. Any update on a text option would be most welcome.

We find that candidates reply to texts straight away which means it is very effective when arranging interviews or looking for an urgent response when they cannot speak on the phone. They hardly ever return phone calls and do not read all of their emails. This makes the case for having a text service built in, even more compelling. I hope the community get voting on this one and Firefish can bring this to the top of the to do list.

We will then be looking at the next things that we can achieve off the popular list.

I think this one is quite high up on the votes so it will definitely be under consideration when we are looking at which one we can try and include for the next release.
