  1. Document upload tab in Candidate Portal

    So when the candidate registers online etc, once they have access to their portal they can upload documents such as ID, Right to work, proof of address etc.

    We’ve now released some improvements to how Candidates Details are displayed in the Recruiter Portal and Candidate Portal.

    All enabled candidates details will now be visible in the candidate record, whether they have been populated or not.

    This will allow candidates to login to the candidate portal and populate details via the My Details page- this includes being able to attach documents where this field is enabled on a particular detail.

    (A setting which allows each detail to be either shown or hidden in the candidate portal can be changed by contacting Support.)

  2. Adverts - turn off candidate coding at job level

    Allow us to have an option to select whether candidate coding for Disciplines and/or Specialities are automatically populated on the candidate record for applicants to a job.

    I know I spend more time uncoding candidates than any other activity for live adverts. It would be good to turn this functionality off for the worst kind of jobs to save time and to avoid trash data coming onto the database and to allow us to focus on the right candidates rather than spending time sorting out the wrong ones.

    We have now developed the ability to switch off candidate preferences from being auto populated with advert preferences, for all adverts.

    Just get in touch Support or your Success Champion if you’d like this setting changed.

  3. Run a report to show if a new candidate has not been contacted

    I think it will be important to know particularly with regards to GDPR regulations, if we have added a new contact (from a job board for example) but not contacted them straight away. If a someone downloads a CV and doesn’t contact the candidate saying where they saw their details / why it’s relevant to contact them, this will, I think contravene regulations. The new candidate registration report shows if a pre-screen has been sent or the candidate is archived, but we often use bulk emails that don't show as being sent.

    You can now view any candidates who have not been sent your candidate agreement in the “Compliance” section of your To Do list, under “Candidates Never Requested”.

  4. Have a call to action instead of a "no results" message to candidates on the job search page

    When you search for a job and there isn’t one that’s relevant it comes up ‘no results were found!’ can we make this a bit more exciting/call to action like ‘We’re not advertising anything that matches that criteria just now but please email us at .... as we may know of something that would interest you’

    Morning all,

    I’m pleased to advise that, in last night’s release, default text here was changed from, “No results were found!” to “We’re not currently advertising anything that matches that search, but we may still know of something interesting. Please send us your details.”

    We’ve also added the ability to customise this message! If you’re happy with the way it is, there’s nothing you need to do. If you’d like to have a different message, please send the text you want to use to support@firefishsoftware.com and our support Fishes will be happy to help!

  5. Avoid new registrations inputting the wrong email address

    To avoid candidates adding the wrong email address please could you add a second box for candidates to confirm their email address to avoid errors. Ideally it will not be possible to copy and paste into the second box to further restrict errors.

    Well good news everyone, you can now get them to confirm their email when registering/applying! This can be turned on by editing the Email Address field when configuring your registration.

  7. Add a field requesting salary, when adding new candidate on from Outlook

    Would be great if there was a field on the Auto-Rec screen when adding a new candidate from Outlook in to FF, that asks for Perm and Contract salary expectation. This would mean you don't have to add them in, then go and find them on FF and add in salary thereafter. At present it allows you to add their source, newsletter, location, role but not their salary.   8. Related candidates

    We often get couples that are both looking for new roles & wanting to start around the same time & in the same country. It'd be really handy if we could somehow link these records or simply record somewhere on each if they are related to any other candiate on the database.

  9. Have the ability to consider a new candidate for a job within the consider tab

    Currently Firefish only allows you to consider a candidate for a job through the candidate screen or from those candidates that Firefish suggests that you consider. It would be extremely useful to be able to have a 'consider new candidate' button within the Consider Screen and then a search box for the candidates name as opposed to having to come out of the consider screen and then find the candidate record to consider them at that point. I think we could reduce currently five click throughs down to one.

    In the reports dashboards, against the company reports to add the last action date as an available column in the data when viewing all data

  14. Auto fill postcode when posting jobs to Reed

    We would really like this feature because this hugely increases the chance of search success on job boards.

    We have been assured by Reed that the postcode does not display to the web visitor, which was your stated reason for this feature not being enabled

    This is a standard feature in your CV library integration so surely makes sense to have a uniform approach.

  15. Add the advert status as an available field on the reports

    Add the advert status as an available field on the standard report and report builder as it would be useful to analyse data for live status adverts (currently you see all adverts regardless of status).

  16. Postcode Column in Potential Matches

    We would love a postcode column in the Potential Matches column please.

    We do a lot of work close to London and the Dartford Crossing. It is very rare that we will find a candidate who will travel over the Dartford Crossing (or indeed through the Blackwall Tunnel) due to traffic congestion. A 10 mile journey over the crossing could take them an hour to do. It is also very rare to have a client that will take candidates from either side of the crossing.

  17. Opt out of SMS Marketing prompt at Placement Stage

    When you place a candidate, you are prompted to opt a candidate out of email marketing

    As Bulk texting can be used on the system, it would be good to prompt to also opt out of SMS Marketing for those who use SMS marketing as well.

    This requires manual work to go into a record after they have been placed to opt them out of SMS marketing as well

  18. New Reporting Suite with Graphical UI and ratios

    To design a new reporting suite with graphical results as well as performance ratios. Be able to push specific dashboards on to a TV screen. DIsplay them as team dashboards as well as the overall business. Recruiters need to be able to see who there most profitable clients are on a dashboard as well and should each have configurable single dashboards.

  19. Video link Merge field in CV sent on Spec

    Would it be possible to add a merge field into the CV sent on spec emails that include the Candidate name and their Video link from their profile?

    Also, we would need a merge field to include them if we sent multiple candidates

    ‘Candidates Video’ link mail merge field has now been added to the following email templates for sending CVs on spec or on the job workflow:

    Candidate – Action – Candidate Card (Insert)
    Contact – Action – Candidate Card (Insert)
    Jobs – Candidate Card (Insert)
