  1. Remove the ability for candidates to create companies on the database when they add their references

    I am having to delete loads of irrelevent companies every week that candidates are adding to Firefish when they add their references. They are either duplicates that we already have on there, based overseas, or are small shops/places where they have done casual work that are never going to recruit staff. I am trying to keep the data relevent but this is just creating completely useless data that we can't do anything with. It takes so much time to keep having to archive them every week.

    Hi All,


    Delighted to announce we have introduced new settings within Settings > Candidate Portal, giving Super Users the ability to disable sub sections of the "My Profile" page of the candidate portal - this includes the ability to disable/hide the "Employment" section, meaning candidates will not have the ability to add new companies to your database or view existing companies that are suggested.

  2. Link your calls to job or contacts

    It would be awesome if you could link a call or action to either a contact, candidate and job. Or all three if needed.
    If a contact was called about candidate issue then this would save on both records and create a trail history.
    if you could link to jobs then you can show the history of the follow up call to the CVs. Therefore it works with the workflow of the job and adds to the consultant KPIs for calls.
    Also if you could add multiple candidates. Then this would show that followed the three spec cvs sent to…

  3. Ability to click through to next candidate/contact on a search while in someone’s file – arrow button in top corner of each page

    It would be great to have the ability to click through to next candidate/contact on a search while in someone’s file – maybe by having an arrow button in top corner of each page, rather than having to come out of the candidate file, go back into the search and then clicking onto the next name on the list. This would save a lot of time when trawling through searches. Thanks!

  4. Recording Time in Recent Activity

    As a user, I'd like to be able to specify Times as well as date for certain actions, such as Follow-Up Calls and CV Submission Deadlines, and report on these times in Activity User reports.

    With the new look the email box is very small and it's difficult to read and write in.

  8. automatically save the formatted CV's with the candidates first name and last name only

    this would save clients having to change the name of the CV or by saving and sending it in error with a job board mentioned in the title.

  9. Perform additional actions when reviewing candidates/previewing CV

    It is a slow process to review multiple CVs when actions might be different for each candidate, this is particularly apparent when working through applications since the CV preview window is in a fixed location, which covers various actions.
    Would it be possible to have more actions in the preview (possibly top bar), for example flags, view profile, move to considering, move to talent pool...etc.?

  10. Add the ability to create a new candidate/contact from the Universal Search [Add New Person]

    If the universal search cannot find a candidate/contact, a user should be able to create the person from the same page.

  11. Make the Temp Owner field searchable (candidate record)

    We have joint candidate ownership between Perm and Interim consultants; would be great if the secondary 'Temp Owner' field in Candidate Summary was searchable so the candidate would come up in each separate search for consultants

  13. Merging Duplicate Client Records

    Firefish rolled out Merging of Candiates but I think this is as important for the Contact records.

  14. Search for candidate/contact by phone number

    It would be useful to be able to search for candidates/contacts via their phone number. As a new business our landline is currently linked to a mobile so it is impossible to save every contact, therefore, when we miss a call and no voicemail has been left, we have no idea of who has called, why they have called etc.

    This would be a great functionality for everyone I am sure.

  16. Save Saved Searches as New

    the ability to open a saved search, make amendments and save the updates to a new saved search whilst keeping the old saved search too.

  17. Allow Firefish to be open in multiple tabs

    It would be useful if Firefish could be open in multiple tabs at a time, to avoid difficulties when you need to multitask - for example when you need to check something when you are mid-way through drafting an email

    Delighted to confirm that all Firefish can now be used across multiple tabs at once. 


    You may have noticed some 'open in new tab' links appearing throughout the system (see attached). We'll be continuing to add these in places throughout the system to make using Firefish in multiple tabs more accessible.

  20. The ability to edit the names of the PAYE and 'Self Employed' tabs

    On a candidate record under the 'Pay' tab, provide super admins with the ability to customise the name of PAYE and Self-Employed selectors for all users.
